About

I build the software, and I am the one you talk to

No account manager, no handoff to a team you never meet. The person who scopes your project is the person who writes it and the person who is still there when something needs fixing at ten at night.

I am Abdul Mazid, a full-stack developer based in Sylhet, Bangladesh. I build production web systems — storefronts, internal tooling, marketplaces — for businesses that need software to actually earn its keep rather than to look modern.

Most of my work is for clients in Australia and the UAE, which means I have learned the unglamorous parts properly: bilingual right-to-left layouts, invoice numbering that survives an audit, and consumer-protection pages written against the actual legislation rather than copied from a template built for another country.

How I work

Four things I do not compromise on

01

Measure before claiming

Every number on this site records where it came from. If I have not measured something, I say so rather than reaching for a plausible figure.

02

Tell you when the answer is cheaper

If WordPress or Shopify genuinely solves your problem, I will say so on the first call rather than quoting a custom build you did not need.

03

You own everything

Code, repository, accounts, credentials — transferred on final payment. No licence, no retainer you cannot leave, no dependency on me.

04

Write it down

Scope, price and delivery date in writing before work starts, and an operations runbook at handover. Nothing important lives only in my head or a chat thread.

Full-Stack Web Developer

Independent — client engagements

Sylhet, Bangladesh — remote

Building and shipping production web systems for businesses in Australia, the UAE and Bangladesh — storefronts, internal ERP and CRM tooling, and a multi-vendor marketplace. Engagements run end to end: scoping, architecture, build, deployment and written operational handover.

  • Shipped four client systems to production, each live on its own domain
  • Deployed to Hostinger VPS with Nginx and PM2, and to managed Node hosting
  • Delivered written operations runbooks so clients are not dependent on one developer

Tools

What I build with

Grouped by what they do, not rated out of five. A self-assigned percentage is unverifiable, and everybody's is generous.

Frontend

  • Next.js

App Router, Server Components, Server Actions.

  • React

    Component architecture and state design.

  • TypeScript

Strict mode by default on every project.

  • Tailwind CSS

Design systems built on tokens, not ad-hoc classes.

Backend

  • Node.js

    Production APIs and long-running processes.

  • Express

REST APIs with layered service architecture.

  • Socket.IO

Real-time chat and live status at production scale.

Data

  • PostgreSQL

    Transactional workloads where consistency matters.

  • MongoDB

    Aggregation pipelines and index design.

  • Drizzle ORM

Typed schema with forward-only SQL migrations.

  • Redis

Caching and rate limiting shared across instances.

Infrastructure

  • Docker

    Reproducible builds and local parity.

  • Nginx

    Reverse proxy, TLS, caching, compression.

  • Linux VPS

    Provisioning, hardening and zero-downtime deploys.

Quality

  • Playwright

End-to-end tests against a production build.

  • Vitest

Unit tests for domain logic and validation.

Want to talk it through?

Twenty minutes, no pitch. Tell me the problem and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person to solve it.
