Digital engineering studio

Software that has to earn its place.

I build, fix and maintain production web systems for businesses in Australia, the UAE and Bangladesh — the kind that take orders, run operations and get found.

Cutting a roofing company’s page weight by two thirds

A Perth roofing business with a heavy single-page app that search engines could barely read. Rebuilt the delivery layer around prerendered HTML and cut the main JavaScript bundle by 68%.

A storefront and an ERP in one bilingual system

A Dubai and Sharjah furnishing business running on WhatsApp threads and spreadsheets. Built one bilingual Next.js system that serves customers at the front and runs leads, quotations, orders and invoicing at the back.

How I engage

Fixed scope, fixed price, written down first

No hourly billing that quietly grows, and no invoice you did not expect. If something falls outside what we agreed, we agree the change before I build it.

  • A short scoping call before anything is quoted — free, and I will tell you if I am the wrong fit.
  • A written proposal with fixed scope, fixed price and a delivery date.
  • Milestone payments, so neither of us is over-exposed.
  • You own the code, the repository and every account, transferred on final payment.
  • A written operations runbook, so you are never dependent on one developer.

Running a studio

Stripe does not work in Bangladesh. Here is what actually does.

Stripe, PayPal and Wise are all unavailable to a Bangladeshi merchant, and the popular merchant-of-record platforms ban selling services outright. A practical map of what is left, and what it means for how you architect billing.

Performance

Cutting a React bundle by 68%, and why the precache was the real problem

A client site shipped 1.18 MB of JavaScript and precached 65 MB of assets to every visitor. The bundle got the attention; the service worker was doing far more damage.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Do I own the code?

Yes, completely. On final payment the repository, all accounts and all credentials are transferred to you. There is no licence, no ongoing fee and no dependency on me — you can hand it to any other developer.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. Send yours over before we discuss anything confidential, or I can provide a standard mutual one.

You are in Bangladesh — how does the time difference work?

I have delivered for clients in Australia, the UAE and Europe. In practice it means you send work at the end of your day and it has moved by your morning. I keep overlapping hours for calls with each client’s timezone and agree them up front.

Tell me what you are trying to build

A short call to work out what you actually need and whether I am the right person for it. If I am not, I will tell you who might be.
